Baseball in Living Color presents the Legends of the Negro Leagues Program... Our story began in the early summer of 1998 when Pedro Sierra, a professional baseball veteran seeking to have a trading card designed to promote him, came into our office in Silver Spring, MD. We spoke of a day in professional baseball when the color of one's skin determined the field upon which he'd play. Pedro, a Cuban immigrant, once played ball on these segregated baselines. We began work on Mr. Sierra's trading cards that day and throughout the next 18 months created trading cards for many more Negro Leagues Baseball Veterans.

STORYBOOK

Our storybook presentation was created to share the entire Baseball in Living Color experience from start to finish. We've combined both original and acquired photographs, testimonials, interviews, dated materials and documents along with our first-hand experiences with fifty-nine of Negro Leagues Baseball's Living Legends to preserve the journey that made our Legends of Negro Leagues program a reality.

The professionals at PictoBooks (a PictoLab Company) made our original coffee-table presentation book. It is a beautiful 11x11 Couture Photo Album that is covered in authentic hand stitched leather.
